I was in town for the weekend and was looking for a place to eat after church. I found this restaurant through Google reviews, and I am so glad I decided to stop by. From the moment I walked in, I felt right at home. This restaurant gave me the comforting Southern feeling of eating back home in Alabama. The staff was welcoming and friendly, and I even had the opportunity to meet one of the "Grandmas." She was incredibly kind and made me feel like I was sitting in my own grandmother's kitchen. The food was absolutely delicious. I especially enjoyed the bottomless sides. I chose the potatoes, collard greens, and green beans, and everything was seasoned perfectly and full of flavor. If you are in the area and looking for authentic Southern comfort food served with warm hospitality, I highly recommend stopping by this restaurant. It is definitely worth the visit!

My children and I stopped by Grandma's Country Kitchen after church to pick up a to-go meal, and we had a wonderful experience! From the moment we walked in, the staff—from the front counter to the kitchen—were welcoming, happy, and genuinely helpful. The restaurant was clean, organized, and had a warm, family-friendly atmosphere. The menu was simple and made ordering easy. You choose your entrée and bread, and it comes with all the sides! Today's meal included mashed potatoes (with gravy on the side), collard greens, green beans, corn, and a fresh salad—all for just “$18.99”. The portions were generous, and everything was cooked well and seasoned. Our to-go order was ready in less than 20 minutes, which was a pleasant surprise, especially after the Sunday church crowd. The location is also convenient, right off the freeway, making it an easy stop for a delicious home-style meal. I encourage everyone to support this local business! Wow. 1st time in, I was throughly surprised. Service was excellent, I walked in and did a take out so I can see the restaurant. I walked in and was taken to the take out register. A server greeted me and had excellent service skills, she was acknowledging, courteous and sincere. I took a minute to place my order and I wasn't rushed. I finally decided on the fish. It was cooked just right, and the vegetables we delicious. Very impressed with the overall value of my meal. Thanks for restoring black owned, black operated restuarants.

Everyone was very nice. The smoked chicken was very flavorful but the breast was very dry. The pinto beans need some work. The other veggies were great but the salad is just lettuce with a vingerett which was also very good but I would have loved maybe so tomato or onion. I did not ask so that may be on me. The sweet Tea was very sweet and very good. I don't recommend it if your a diabetic but other than that the Tea was exactly as I expected it to be. The sweet potato pie was good although the texture was different. I enjoyed the flavors and would eat the pie again. Would I go back? Yes I would. I would love to try the fried chicken and porkchop. Oh and they charge a 18% gratuity right off the bat. Actually I think it's a good idea but I also think that gratuity should be up to the customers. The good thing is they will tell you about the gratuity before you order and it's clearly printed on the menu.

Mama, where have you been! Finally, some authentic home-cooked food paired with exceptional customer service! I was warmly greeted upon arrival and asked to place a takeout order. The young lady didn't merely point out the location as most restaurants do; she cheerfully said, "Follow me!" They took my order efficiently and provided a clear estimate of the preparation time. The restaurant’s interior is tastefully decorated with warm lighting that creates a cozy atmosphere. The staff was courteous and attentive throughout. I ordered a fried chicken meal, which comes with your choice of meat—homemade sides are included with the meal. When I received the food, I initially thought there had been a mistake because the box was labeled for a 4-piece chicken meal. However, I realized the generous portions of sides contributed to the weight, and it’s all part of the meal. It also includes biscuits. Everything was incredibly flavorful and satisfying. I’ll be eager to update everyone after my next visit, perhaps trying the chicken-fried steak or other specialties. Kudos to the "Mama" family for an excellent first offering!

I have been waiting for this opening. My mom and I were craving a new down home cooking place to open in what I still consider as my neighborhood. They are already busting out of the seams with everyone flocking to taste their offerings. I ordered both the chicken fried steak and porkchop. My gooodness!!! ALL THESE SIDES!!!! The star for me were the Biscuits. I will be back and I pray you all much success and future expansion into more space at your chosen location.

I really did want to love it here, but I was left underwhelmed and disappointed. I unfortunately came on a day where greens was the side if the day, and these were canned greens. I even confirmed with a staff member when I noticed our bowl was full of stems and had an interesting taste. I personally did not see any meat in our bowl, but was told that it was turkey. The green beans had pork in them, for my other none pork eaters to know to avoid. My husband got a lemonade because we thought it was fresh as advertised on their website and it was not. Our server was great and checked on us frequently. We were seated by a pillar, so we knew it was the 18% service charge, but they do not give you any menus. With it being so loud, I did have to ask our server to repeat herself, but it was a Sunday so being a bit loud was ro be expected. My least favorite thing about my experience was that it felt like they were trying to flip the table quick. We were offered dessert, which we declined and our check was dropped off. We drove from Frisco to eat. There was a bit of a wait, but it was well worth it! The food transformed me back to my Big Mama's house for Sunday dinner. We had the roasted chicken, lemon pepper wings and chicken tenders all were seasoned perfectly! All meals come with sides, salads, and biscuits or cornbread. The biscuits were light and delicious. And my peach cobbler was great.
